Peer Review Process

Peer-Review Process

All papers submitted to Artificial Intelligence Systems and Its Applications (AISA) undergo a double-blind peer-review process. We only publish articles that have been rigorously reviewed by experts in the relevant field. The following figure illustrates the peer-review workflow:

Peer Review Flowchart

The peer-review process follows these steps:

  1. Authors submit their manuscript through the online journal system.
  2. The Editor-in-Chief (EIC) assesses the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s scope. Suitable manuscripts proceed to the next step, while unsuitable ones are rejected.
  3. The Editor checks the manuscript for formatting, adherence to guidelines, originality (plagiarism check), and language quality. If it meets the requirements, it is sent to at least two international reviewers for a double-blind review. Otherwise, it is returned to the authors for revision (3-4 weeks).
  4. The manuscript undergoes peer review by at least two international/national experts, which takes approximately 8-12 weeks.
  5. Based on reviewers' feedback, the EIC/Editors decide whether to accept, request minor/major revisions, or reject the manuscript. If a major revision is required, the manuscript undergoes a second round of peer review.
  6. Accepted manuscripts are processed for editing, layout, and publication. Authors receive a final version for proofreading before online publication.

The editorial team ensures confidentiality throughout the peer-review process, protecting the integrity of both authors and reviewers.
