Author Guidelines

Artificial Intelligence Systems and Its Applications (AISA) welcomes high-quality original research, review articles, and critical application manuscripts in the field of Artificial Intelligence and its various applications. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, please adhere to the following guidelines.

1. General Submission Requirements

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submitted work should contribute significantly to the field of AI and its applications.
  • Language: All manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and correct English. Authors who are non-native speakers may consider professional language editing prior to submission.
  • Manuscript Categories: We accept the following types of manuscripts:
    • Research Articles: Detailed studies reporting original research findings.
    • Review Articles: Comprehensive critical reviews that provide new insights and synthesis of current research.
    • Methods Papers: Articles describing novel methodologies or innovative applications of existing techniques.
    • Critical Application Papers: Case studies or system design research showcasing practical implementations of AI solutions.

2. Manuscript Preparation

2.1. Structure and Content

Manuscripts should include the following sections (where applicable):

  • Title Page:
    • Article title (concise and informative)
    • Authors’ full names and affiliations
    • Corresponding author’s contact details (email address, phone number, and mailing address)
  • Abstract:
    • A concise summary (150–250 words) that clearly states the research problem, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
  • Keywords:
    • 4–6 keywords that represent the core topics of the article.
  • Introduction:
    • Context, background, and rationale for the study, including a clear statement of objectives.
  • Methodology/Materials and Methods:
    • Detailed description of research design, experimental setup, data collection, and analysis methods, ensuring reproducibility.
  • Results:
    • Presentation of research findings with supporting figures, tables, and statistical analyses.
  • Discussion:
    • Interpretation of results, implications for the field, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
  • Conclusion:
    • Summary of key findings and the overall significance of the research.
  • Acknowledgments:
    • Recognition of individuals, institutions, and funding sources that contributed to the work.
  • References:
    • A complete list of all cited literature, formatted according to the journal’s referencing style (see Section 4).

2.2. Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscript Length: There is no strict word limit; however, submissions should be concise and focused.
  • Font and Spacing: Use a standard, legible font (e.g., Times New Roman or Arial) in 12-point size, with double spacing and 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Figures and Tables:
    • Ensure high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) for all images.
    • Include clear legends and labels.
    • Each figure/table should be mentioned in the text sequentially.
  • Supplementary Material: Additional data, multimedia files, or extended methods may be submitted as supplementary material. Ensure all supplementary files are clearly labeled and referenced in the manuscript.

3. Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through our submission system. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided on the submission portal.
  • Cover Letter: Include a cover letter that briefly outlines the importance of the work, confirms the manuscript’s originality, and states that it is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • File Formats: Preferred formats are Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) for text and .tif, .jpeg, or .png for images. LaTeX submissions are also accepted if formatted according to the journal’s guidelines.
  • Plagiarism Check: All submissions will be screened for plagiarism. Manuscripts with significant overlap with published work may be rejected.

4. References and Citation Style

  • Citation Format:
    • Follow the journal’s specific citation style for in-text citations and the reference list.
    • Ensure that all references are complete and correctly formatted.
  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Where available, include DOIs for cited articles.
  • Consistency: Maintain consistency in citation style throughout the manuscript.

5. Ethical Guidelines

  • Research Ethics:
    • Authors must adhere to ethical standards in the treatment of human and animal subjects.
    • Any necessary ethical approvals or informed consent statements should be clearly stated in the manuscript.
  • Conflict of Interest:
    • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest. This information should be included in a dedicated section in the manuscript.
  • Authorship:
    • All authors must have contributed significantly to the research and must approve the final version of the manuscript.
  • Data Availability:
    • Provide a data availability statement specifying where supporting data can be accessed, if applicable.

6. Peer-Review Process

  • Double-Blind Review:
    • Our peer-review process is double-blind; therefore, manuscripts should be anonymized by removing any identifying information from the text.
  • Reviewer Comments:
    • Authors will receive reviewer feedback and are expected to respond thoroughly to all comments. Revised manuscripts should clearly indicate changes made in response to reviewer suggestions.
  • Decision and Publication:
    • The editorial board will make the final decision based on reviewer recommendations. Accepted articles will be published online as open access.

7. Copyright and Open Access

  • Copyright Transfer:
    • Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer agreement, unless alternative arrangements are in place.
  • Open Access License:
    • All published articles are subject to an open-access policy under a Creative Commons license, promoting free and broad dissemination of research findings.

8. Final Checks Before Submission

  • Proofreading: Ensure the manuscript is free of grammatical errors and typographical mistakes.
  • Formatting Compliance: Double-check that the manuscript adheres to the guidelines regarding formatting, structure, and citation style.
  • Supplementary Material: Confirm that all supplementary files are correctly labeled and referenced within the manuscript.
  • Compliance Statement: Include a brief statement in the cover letter confirming compliance with the author guidelines and ethical standards.
